Cataract Costs

The total cost of cataract surgery can varies depending on the technology and the type of lens you choose. Two of the biggest factors determining how much your procedure will cost are whether or not you have insurance and if you choose to have the procedure at a public or private hospital.

As a general guide, if you are uninsured, you can choose to have the procedure bulk billed at a public hospital or pay an average price of $4,500 with an average out of pocket of about $2,500 per eye to have the procedure at our private hospital.

If you do have private insurance, the cost of your procedure will depend on your level of cover. A range of cost from $700 to $2,000 is usually to be expected.

No GAP procedure is also available at personalEYES clinics.
