These procedures correct refractive errors by changing the focus of the eye. Commonly, we do this by reshaping the curve of the cornea (the clear front window of the eye) to move the point at which light is focused onto the retina (light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye).

We are also leaders in Phacoemulsification and multi-focal lens implant surgery. Phacoemulsification is a procedure in which a lens clouded by a cataract is broken up by ultrasound. A tiny incision is made, and then an ultrasonic tip, vibrating thousands of times a second, breaks up the cataracts without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Some conditions, such as presbyopia and astigmatism can be treated through the insertion of the latest multi-focal lenses.
